Coffee Academics has been a real success story in Hong Kong. Started in 2012, they have managed to expand and open up quite a few branches around the city including this place on 4/F of the Langham Place Shopping Mall in Mongkok. Opening hours are 8am to 9pm (weekdays) and 10am to 9pm (weekends). They have a detached open seating section near the order counter. You can do take-away and delivery in the area as well. You'll find a fairly typical range of coffee and non-coffee drinks. You can choose amongst 5-6 different beans for espresso based drinks. I like the Yunnan blend which is nutty with a chocolate finish. There is also a food menu with some pretty good food options, their dessert counter is pretty good as well, the carrot cake slices are nice. During a recent pass by here, I had their dark mocha, a quality chocolate flavoured coffee drink where the espresso comes through nicely. Overall, Coffee Academics is a consistently good coffee option, not my personal favourite place for serious espresso drinks but you can always count on better than average, good coffee drinks at their branches.
Located at 4/F Langham Place, this coffee shop provides various delicious cuisines and specialty coffees. I appreciate that I can choose my favorite coffee beans for my coffee, and the staffs are really helpful here. They gently asked if I need any help, and provided excellent service.
Located inside the Langham Place, this brightly lit cafe is a wonderful place to meet up with friends to have coffee or tea. The Black Forest cake was delicious as was the Hojicha latte. Note; there is a minimum spend per person.
Prawn and Scallop Laksa Pasta At Coffee Academics, the prawn and scallop laksa pasta is a standout dish. The rich laksa sauce adds just little spice, making it incredibly appetizing. Fresh prawns blend well with the sauce, which is of a smooth texture. Slow-Cooked Chicken Breast is seasoned with a hint of red spices, providing a unique flavor. It’s tender and juicy, with the spices enhancing the taste without overwhelming it. This dish is definitely worth trying. The environment boasts a bright and inviting atmosphere. With plenty of greenery and soft indoor lighting, it’s a relaxing spot.
It is a good place to take a break after shopping in Langham Place Variety of food , coffee and desserts There is tea set / lunch set at around 3pm I have ordered Croissant Sandwich with smoked. Salmon & egg (tea set) $164.0 Which included a drink as well I am a little bit hungry so i add on half avocado and chicken breast Full of protein I ordered iced latte (manuka) I chose ‘Hong Kong Blend’ which the tasting notes: dark chocolate, dark fruit , almonds Can Choose different kind of milk ,skim milk / oat milk… Next time i would like to order a cake
this ADB is perfect for me. (FYI i am not a fan of sausage and bacon, so hardly can i see a ADB with a perfect combo) Every ingredient is fresh. Not heavily seasoned. I like this style so much Also adding the chicken breast is just $25, quite generous portion.
This is in Langham Place, right across the connecting bridge to the Cordis hotel where we're staying. So closest place for a morning coffee. I ordered a cappuccino with their dark Hong Kong roast (blend of 5 single origins; see photo), and my wife got a decaf flat white which uses a Colombian bean swiss water decaf process. The cappuccino was good. The dark roast goes well with milk and there's both complexity and length. Aroma and flavours are good but have to wait a while to develop. The coffee sweetness is lacking so no 5 stars. My wife's flat white was okay, which is pretty good for a decaf with milk. Decent aroma and flavours. Obviously Colombian. Overall, well come back.
